A lot of people will tell you to watch TV when they’re bored at home. But what if the TV is broken or you don’t have a subscription? What about Netflix, Hulu and HBO NOW for those who can afford it but still want something new?
What I really think would be best in this situation is watching movies on your computer instead! You might not get that ‘big screen’ feel with some of them, but there are many different genres available like comedy, drama, romance and horror. With these options available – surely one will make you laugh and keep boredom away until someone fixes the TV (or gets back from work).

The first movie we recommend is ‘Hacksaw Ridge’. It’s all about Desmond Doss, a Seventh Day Adventist and conscientious objector of WWII who becomes the first American soldier in World War II to win the Medal of Honor without firing a shot. The film depicts his life as he struggles with PTSD and tries to get past it so that he can be there for others, specifically fellow veterans. This one might not have as much action as you expected but instead offers more depth into what war does to people on both sides: those fighting it and those being fought against.

The second movie we recommend is ‘La La Land’. OK, so it’s not actually about Umdl software but it does have a lot of scenes set in Los Angeles and the film is definitely worth checking out. Ryan Gosling plays Sebastian Wilder, an ambitious jazz pianist who falls for Mia Dolan (Emma Stone), an aspiring actress. Their love story unfolds as they struggle to balance ambition with their love for one another amid desperation and fame
