Can hamsters eat raisins? Yes! Raisins make an excellent treat option that will help keep your little friend happy while also giving him something to chew on. You should avoid corn because of the risk associated with it, but breakfast cereal can be given in small quantities, as well as any types of grain products (oatmeal, rice, quinoa). These things are not recommended for a whole meal idea or anything more than about one serving size per day. Can hamsters eat grapes too? Actually yes they can! However you should avoid grapes if your hamster has a history of diabetes or any type of kidney disease.

How can you tell the difference between male and female hamsters? Male hamsters have noticeable testicles that will hang down from their body, while females don’t possess this attribute. The color of fur on each species is also different (the Syrian Hamster’s tail and cheeks are typically white). Females tend to be slightly smaller in size than males as well.

What do I need to know about taking care of my pet hamster? First off it’s important to note that not all breeds require the same amount of attention when it comes to housing requirements so make sure you read up on what breed applies best for yours before going out and purchasing a cage.

Is it ok for my hamster to eat raisins? It is not recommended that you feed your pet anything other than the food provided by the breed’s owner because there are many foods out there, such as grapes, which can be toxic to them. In addition, any type of grape product should never be given to your pet due to its great potential for causing gastrointestinal distress in small animals like hamsters.
