“Can I use the DoorDash App while in another state?” This is a question that has been asked by many people who travel and want to order from their favorite restaurant. The answer can be tricky, but luckily for you we have put together this blog post to help you understand what it means.

We hope this blog post helps clear up any confusion about using the DoorDash app when outside of your home state!

DoorDash currently operates in 28 U.S. states (and Washington D.C) all except Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada and Wyoming”

“Can I use the DoorDash App while outside of my home state?” This is a question that has been asked by many people who travel and want to order from their favorite restaurant. The answer can be tricky unfortunately for you we don’t know how to make it any clearer than the answer found below:

“Currently operating in 28 US States (and Washington DC)-all except Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada and Wyoming”

“If you are visiting California from a state that DoorDash is not operating in: You can place orders through the app but be aware that your order will have to go through an out-of-state fulfillment center.

This means there will be an additional fee for delivery; plus it can take up to three hours longer than the usual forty five minutes.”

“What if I am traveling abroad? Can I use the DoorDash App?” This is another question many people ask because they love using their favorite restaurants when outside of their home country. Unfortunately this one also has a tricky answer but we’ll try our best to clear things up so they make sense. The answer is Yes! BUT it’s not as simple as you think. DoorDash can deliver to some countries outside of the United States, but it depends on where in that country your destination is located and what type of food is being delivered.”

“In order for us to be able to ship DoorDash orders internationally or outside of the US, we must have a fulfillment center within 100 miles from your location” If there isn’t one near you then unfortunately this means all international delivery will no longer be available through our app.”

“Can I use my debit card while traveling?” Well yes! You can still use your Visa/MasterCard credit cards while abroad as long as they are set up with international billing so those transactions won’t incur additional charges such though currency conversion. The key is to set up your card before you leave the country.

What countries are eligible? “We ship orders from our fulfillment centers in Chicago and Amsterdam which cover most of Europe and other parts of the world (such as Asia).”

So basically if you’re traveling out-of-state on vacation and want to use this app while abroad – it’s not an option.

The other issue you might run into when ordering food through DoorDash internationally is the fact that they have an “international” shipping service, which can be expensive and take a long time to get your package delivered. However, if you’re staying at home in another state this summer – there’s no problem! You can order from any restaurant or store on their list of available restaurants or stores without having to change your address- it doesn’t matter where you are as long as you’ve set up international billing with your credit card company first (something we know most people don’t do).

Make sure you have an international credit card set up with your bank before leaving on a trip, or wait until you get back.

Order food and pick it up at any restaurant like normal. Just be mindful of the time zone difference if traveling internationally – doordash doesn’t deliver past midnight local time, so take that into consideration when ordering!

Door Dash can be used by anyone in any state – as long as you’re not ordering well past midnight local time. The company doesn’t deliver food after that point, so take it into consideration when placing your order!
