I think we need more time to catch up on reading, watching TV, playing games and just plain trying to be more awake and aware.
I mean, we’re all too busy. I’m not saying we should stop engaging in these activities, but we should take a moment to pause to check in with ourselves, especially if we’re in a time crunch and want to be more productive. This will be more difficult if we haven’t been doing our best to check in with ourselves.
I think this may be the biggest thing we need to do. As we get older, we start to get more distracted and lose our focus. In fact, we may start to lose our focus because we are actually checking our phones. But the problem with this is it’s also the worst time to check your phone because you’re getting more distracted by your phone than you are by whatever you are doing.
But it’s a big problem because you can always check your phone when you get distracted by it. However, its great that we have this option because it means we are in control of our own thinking and our own focus and therefore we should focus on what we actually want to do.
Another problem with the way we check our phones lately is that we often have the phone on silent mode, but that means we are all on the same page. So we can just look at our phone instead of thinking, “I need to check my phone…” which seems to be the way some people check their phones. But what they are missing is that they are just as distracted by their own thoughts and actions as we are.
I think its time to let our phones wake us up to take a look at what they are really doing. To put it bluntly, our phones are not that useful if we can’t use them for more than a couple minutes at a time. I mean, who wants to take a couple minutes of their life to check their phone? It’s like they are constantly checking their phone.
I am tired of seeing people use their phones as a distraction, but I’m even more tired of people not getting the “why” from their phone. I know it’s a big thing, but I think the more people that get the “why” from their phone the more I can help and encourage them to use it as a tool rather than a distraction.
It’s easy to get distracted by the use of your phone, but too many people forget that there are also other ways to use it. I’m not talking about just checking your email, but also thinking about what you’re doing and why. It’s also easy to get so busy with something that you forget to check in on your phone. I’ve seen people use their phones right after they’ve eaten something, and then not check them for a few days. That’s also a problem.
There are a lot of people who never use phones when they’ve been at it for over two weeks. They don’t remember when they have been there. The same people who have taken a nap for the past three years have spent a lot of time thinking about how they are doing it.
