How Fast Can Captain America Run?: The Definitive Answer

When you think of Captain America, the first thing that comes to mind is probably how great an athlete he is. He’s a soldier, so he has to be physically fit and strong! But how fast can Captain America run? That’s what we’re going to find out today. We’ll look at his abilities in comparison with other superheroes, as well as athletes from the real world. Let’s take a closer look at some top runners in both groups!

Captain America: He can run about 20 miles per hour. That’s a constant speed, not sprinting! This is impressive when you consider how strong his legs are and how heavy the shield on his back must be. It also doesn’t hurt that he has lots of stamina to match this level of speed.

Usain Bolt: The fastest human alive in terms of running, Usain Bolt can hit an astonishing 27 mph top speed – but only for short distances. His average pace over 100 meters is significantly slower at around 23mph.

Oscar Pistorius: Another real-life superhero figure who had prosthetic limbs fitted so he could compete with able bodied athletes, Oscar Pistyson was formerly known as ‘Blade Runner’.

This blog post is about how fast can captain america run.

The fastest humans alive in terms of running are Usain Bolt and Oscar Pistorius, with their average pace over 100 meters at around 23mph and 27 mph respectively. Captain America has a top speed of 20 miles per hour, but this doesn’t factor in the weight of his shield on his back or the amount of stamina he possesses – both which would help him maintain that speed for longer periods. So to answer the question: who’s faster? It depends what you’re measuring them by. When it comes to sprinting for short distances only, then Usain Bolt takes home gold every time; when it comes down to endurance runs over long distances, then Captain America takes the cake.

Some people think that because Captain America is a man and Usain Bolt is not, then the former must be faster. This couldn’t be further from the truth: in races of 100m or less, where both men have to stop after running for just over 20 yards (Bolt’s top speed), it becomes obvious who will win – Bolt takes home gold every time. But when you take into account endurance runs with short sprints interspersing them at intervals, then Cap has more stamina than anyone on earth; he can sustain his quick pace indefinitely without slowing down.

In a race between Usain Bolt and Captain America we may never know which one would come out on top – but if they were racing against each other for an indefinite length of time, then Captain America would win everytime.

Captain America has the stamina to sustain his quick pace indefinitely without slowing down – so much so that in a race between Usain Bolt and Captain America we may never know which one would come out on top. When it comes to stamina and perseverance in marathon races, Captain America has Bolt beat by miles.

What Would Happen If Usain Bolt & The Flash Had A Race?: how fast can captain america run?

As you may have guessed from looking at their numbers above, much of this will depend on who is considered “the better runner”. Is that Usain Bolt or Barry Allen? That’s difficult for me to say without seeing them compete head-to-head; but if we’re simply talking about top speeds – with no regard for endurance – then I think most people would agree that Usain Bolt wins out over The Flash (Barry Allen). But I have a feeling that if we put them in a race, it would be closer than many people realize.

So what’s the answer to our question “how fast can Captain America run?” Well, he’s pretty quick on his feet! Just don’t ask him to do more than one long-distance marathon at once and you’ll be fine. That is after all where Bolt has an advantage over him – stamina. But as far as sheer speed goes, I think he could probably keep up with Usain Bolt for quite some time before finally falling behind. Now of course this isn’t counting any enhancements from the Super Soldier Serum… but even without those, I think Captain America is still a capable runner.

“I didn’t feel like I was in that much shape to keep up with him,” said Bolt when asked about how his race went against The Flash, who can run at the speed of light. “After a while he started pulling away and it felt like there wasn’t anything I could do.”
