Technology has been an integral part of government for decades, but never was it more important than during the recent economic crisis. Governments needed technology to help them handle a variety of issues that arose as a result of the economic downturn including unemployment and fiscal responsibility. One example is how technology helped governments track stimulus spending so they could find out where money was being wasted and cut back on costs. In this blog post we will discuss how technology can be used to help governments deal with economic emergencies such as today’s financial crisis.

It is a well-known fact that technology has been an integral part of government for decades. But never was it more important than during the recent economic crisis, which prompted governments around the world to spend trillions in stimulus packages trying to get their stagnant economies going again. One example of how technology helped government agencies deal with these problems came from Cisco Systems Inc., who found out that over $30 billion had been wasted on ineffective spending by tracking where money was being spent through its network and then cutting back on costs at those places where necessary. This blog post will discuss how we can use technology today to help governments handle future economic emergencies such as this present financial crisis. With trillions of dollars being thrown at stimulus packages by governments all over the world people needed a way to ensure that money was not wasted on ineffective spending.

One example of how technology helped government agencies deal with these problems came from Cisco Systems Inc., who found out through its network where $30 billion had been wasted due to ineffective spending and then cut back on costs there when necessary (Cisco). This type of technology is solely in place because they have access to so many screens; if one screen goes down.

Bullet Point:

  • Technology can help governments handle economic emergencies, such as this present financial crisis.
  •  With trillions of dollars being thrown at stimulus packages by governments all over the world people needed a way to ensure that money was not wasted on ineffective spending.

Technology can help governments handle economic emergencies, such as ineffective spending overspending without it being noticed by others who are not aware of what is going on at that time with trillions of dollars being thrown at stimulus packages by governments all over the world people need a way to ensure that money isn’t wasted on ineffective spending

Unfortunately, this is not the only instance where technology can help Governments deal with an Economic Emergency because it has been shown to have helped save a lot of jobs and keep communities together (Fry). From Cisco Systems Inc., IBM Corp, Oracle Corporation, SAP AG & Co KG or any other company that deals in technology related fields for Government Agencies globally: “Technology companies provide solutions which allow governments at all levels to increase efficiency through automation.” – For example, one could use technology to track how much money had been wasted on ineffective spending by monitoring transactions throughout their account and then cut back if necessary.

Conclusion:

The future for technology use within the governmental sector looks promising during an economic emergency situation like it has. Seemingly, technology has helped governments handle economic emergencies such as ineffective spending and overspending without it being noticed by others who are not aware of what is going on at that time. With trillions of dollars being thrown at stimulus packages by governments all over the world people need a way to ensure that money isn’t wasted on ineffective spending. One example of how technology helped government agencies deal with these problems came from Cisco Systems Inc., who found out through its network where $30 billion had been wasted due to ineffective spending and then cut back on costs there when necessary (Cisco). This type of technology solely exist because of the economic emergency that started in 2007 and has been continuing for years.
