It’s rare that you’ll see anyone in the shipping industry refer to themselves as competitors. However, I’m here to tell you that there are few things more frustrating than a competitor. You’re stuck on the same page with a team of people that has no idea how you’re going to come up with a solution.
We found that for Shipbob, it was very hard to compete because they really had no idea what they were doing. Sure, they had a very neat system that allowed for a more automated process but when it came to actually starting a project, they just didn’t know where to begin. So we got to watch Shipbob attempt to build their own system that solved their problems.
Shipbob, like all of us, have a hard time taking responsibility for our actions. We get to watch Shipbob try to take responsibility, and fail, over and over. This is a problem because Shipbob is a leader, and we are going to be the next shipbob. We are the ones who will need to take care of Shipbob, and we can just focus on making our own game.

Pirates are essentially just pirates (and we’re not talking about the infamous French pirate Claude de Tourny). The pirates we were thinking of were the ones who were stealing ships from other pirates.
