The Ultimate Guide to Choosing Your Favorite Waterer (And Why You Really Need One!)

Choosing your favorite waterer is a big decision. You have many different options to choose from and the more you think about it, the more complicated it becomes! In this guide we’ll cover all of the most popular watering cans on the market today and give you tips for choosing which one would be best for your needs.

You can’t go wrong with any option but before you make that final choice, take a look at our list below:

Classic watering can

Bloem Mini Gardena watering can

Big Maxi watering can

Patio watering can

Basil – the potty training waterer

Classic watering can: This is the most common type of watering can and it’s a good option if you need to pour water on plants or potted flowers. The downside, though, is that they take up more space than other types because they’re taller and have longer handles.

Bloem Mini Gardena watering can: These are perfect for small plantings like herbs in pots or containers since they fit nicely into those spaces. They make your life so much easier with their ergonomic design but don’t work well when you want to use them as an outdoor waterer unless there’s not too far between the plants!

Big Maxi watering can: If you have a lot of ground area where you’ll be planting, or a lot of plants, then this is the watering can for you. It has the biggest capacity and it covers more ground than any other type.

Automatic waterer: This is excellent if you have an outdoor space where you spend most of your time but don’t want to have to manually water all day long since they’re self-watering units that are easy on your back! You just fill them up with water and turn on their timer so when daylight turns into darkness, they automatically release a small amount of water onto your plants at timed intervals without any effort required from you at all!

The best part? They only need about half as much water compared to hand watering which means less trips outside in hot weather.

Hand watering: If you don’t have any outdoor space or are limited on time, this is the waterer for you because it’s easy to use and can be done in as little as 20 minutes! You just fill up a bucket with water that has been mixed with plant food and then when your plants need some wetting down, all you have to do is take out your hose nozzle attachment like so…

attaching it at one end of the long thin tube attached to the faucet (the other end attaches where we want our watering stream), turn on your garden spigot outside and pull back on the lever while holding onto the top handle until water starts coming out; now slowly release pressure starts coming out of the nozzle.

this is done by hitting a button on your handle with one hand while you’re holding onto it with the other, letting go to stop watering – at which point if you want more water just hit the button again and let go when ready to turn off.

your watering can is now set and ready for action!

The Ultimate Guide to Choosing Your Favorite Waterer (And Why You Really Need One!)

Long story short, if you’ve got any plants in your garden that need water there’s a good chance you’re going to be needing one of these. As we all know, it’s not always possible to stay home with them or put up an automated system that waters them for us on our behalf. The more time spent outdoors the better but sometimes things happen and so we must rely on other methods like this which is why they are such essential pieces of gardening equipment; especially when used correctly.

There are lots of different options out there though so how do you choose? It’s important to know what you’re after so that will help narrow it down. Do you want one that does the job quickly and efficiently? If so, then a watering can may not be for you as they take time to fill up before delivering water which means these would work better if used more often or with shorter intervals between watering sessions.

Do you like things simple but still effective? A hose fitted with an adjustable nozzle is worth looking into whereas a pressure washer might be too much of a commitment in terms of power consumption costs etc. So make sure your budget has room for this!

Are there younger children around who are always keen to help out? Perhaps consider something fun; such as sprinklers, guns or even just a watering can with a hose attachment to make the job less tedious.

Do you have an area of your garden that needs water more than others? Consider smaller sprinklers or drip systems as these will provide targeted watering for specific areas and may be more affordable in terms of both cost and installation.

The type of surface, age, size and time spent maintaining it all determines what kind of waterer would work best for you so think carefully about this before making any purchases!
