I’m not really a believer that WordPress is the best CMS for blogging. I think though, that a CMS is only as good as the experience you have using it, so I’d rather have something that I’m really confident in than something that just works for me because I’m a programmer of some sort. That’s why I’m a big fan of the WordPress alternative, WPHosted.
WPEngine is a plugin that allows you to use WordPress themes and plugins for your own blogs, that allows you to have more control over things like the theme and plugins settings. I think its better than most CMSs IMO because Im not only able to customize a theme to my liking but also have the ability to switch themes if Im feeling like Im going to be creative or to get creative with my blog, without having to go through the normal WordPress options screen.
The WPHosted alternative is a nice alternative to the WPHosted one because it uses a lot of the same functionality as WPHosted but has a lot more advanced features than the WPHosted one. I just didn’t like the WPHosted one, the thing I like, is that it’s quick and dirty and has lots of customization options.
The WPHosted one comes with a lot of functionality, but the things that I like is the customization options and the fact that you can switch the theme by clicking one of the available ones. The WPHosted one is more advanced and has a lot of options, but you have to do it through the interface. The WPHosted one is better for customization and features, but the interface is a little clunky.
The WPHosted one is one of the few “alternative” WordPress themes I’ve seen. It’s very configurable, however, it’s very customizable. Its features are not just the usual “theme” functionality. It has options for your logo, your color scheme, your background color, your contact manager, your post editor, your footer, etc.
The WPHosted one is a good example of a theme Ive seen that can be customized for more than one person. In my experience, you can customize a theme for a specific user and all the themes that come with it.
Also, WPEngine has an extensive plugin market. There are some plugins that are only available in the WPHosted one, but there are a lot of plugins that are available for the other themes as well. The plugin market is a nice way to customize your theme for multiple users.
A lot of people will tell you to take the theme with you to the WordPress forum and change all the links to make them point to your theme. That will not only make your link look great, it will also make your site look and feel more organized. Your posts will not only have more text and less images, they will also be more organized and click-able. It really is that easy.
My only complaint about wpengine’s plugin is that it does not have a “remove links” option. If you wish to have your site’s links removed, you will have to do it yourself. But for those of you who have not used wpengine yet, it is worth noting that you are not limited to just one theme. You can always switch themes for a more tailored look.
